Shaun the Sheep Art Trail Announced!

A new Shaun the Sheep art trail is coming to Newcastle in the summer of next year! 'Shaun the Sheep on The Tyne' will see 50 individually designed sculptures displayed around the city's streets, parks and other public areas from 17th July - 22nd September 2023.

The trail is created in partnership with Wild in Art, who brought a Morph art trail to North Tyneside in 2022, and will culminate in an auction to raise money for local Newcastle charity St Owald's Hospice.

The trail was announced at a fun (and sheep-filled!) event this week, sharing the news that next summer people will be able to seek out unique and colourful Shauns around the city, giving them the chance to experience art in a new and fun way.

A dedicated trail map and app will navigate visitors around the sculptures and let them unlock rewards and fun facts along the way. Young people from North East schools and community groups will also have the opportunity to decorate their own small-sized Shauns, which will form another mini flock taking over venues across the region.
