Hey, ya'll! After ending my Beverly Hillbillies trivia game, I decided to create a blog! I'll ask random questions, and updates will be often, but not on a fixed schedule like the trivia game was. I hope you all enjoy this random blog run by everybody's favorite banjoist... me! Comment now if you have something to start the blog off with!

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 10th 2012

Okay! I meant to ask you, have you seen the Muppet Show episode, where Steve Martin plays " Dueling Banjos" ? Here's the link to it. :)

By Banjo Boy Jun 11th 2012

Yes, I have! It's not the best version I've heard, but it's pretty funny.
Alright, ya'll: today's topic is this... are there any neighborhoods, streets, places, etc. near you that have funny names? I live near a place called Mallard Creek, but i don't know what a mallard is. And there's a neighborhood very close to mine called Ravenswood; that's the name of the Drysdale's butler in "The Beverly Hillbillies"! Comment away!

By Banjo Boy Jun 12th 2012

I'm so excited! Today summer reading started where I live. It's only 25 hours. Anyway, I've had an entire series sitting in my room for half a week, and it's been driving me crazy that I haven't gotten to read them yet. But I will now! And post if there's any wierd names near you. See ya'll tomorrow!

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 12th 2012

There's a " rivendale" road near me, also a " Brandywine". If you know the " Lord of the Rings" series, those are names of towns in the books/movies. :)

By Banjo Boy Jun 13th 2012

    Wow, that's interesting.
Alright, I have a new topic, but feel free to chat about any topic. This is just to get the ball rolling. My topic is: do your parents ever make you do something that you think is wierd? For instance, when I'm in a hurry and need to eat a meal in the car, my mom makes me brush my teeth before I eat. Isn't that strnage?

Really cracking blog, You got there Lad.Say are you interested in Art like Drawing?

By Banjo Boy Jun 13th 2012

Nah, not really. I drew hundreds of comics, and the storylines were great, but the drawings were terrible. Then I turned to writing, but that got boring. And then I started recording. I'm more interested in art like music. Namely bluegrass.

    By ajmole Jun 13th 2012

I live near a place called Mallard Creek, but i don't know what a mallard is.
I believe a mallard is a type of duck or bird. =P I love your blog, Banjo. =)

By Banjo Boy Jun 14th 2012

Thanks, ajmole. I hope it catches on as the days pass.

By icy blue Jun 14th 2012

Ahhh....i would love to see your drawings

By Banjo Boy Jun 15th 2012

I'm not sure, Icy Blue. They're really just circles with lines and curves for the facial features, and a scribbled line on top for hair. They're really not much to look at. I've recycled a bunch of lines from them in my audio comedies and books I've written.

By Banjo Boy Jun 16th 2012

Today's topic is... do you have or can you do something rare? I play the autoharp and jaw harp, I have a 1930's Gretsch guitar, and I own an original Boy Scout Handbook 3rd edition (that would be from 1928 ). How about you guys?

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 16th 2012

I can't do anything rare,  but I have a few " rare" comedy movies, ( now being made not-so rare because of the magic of DVDs) :) like Abbot and Costello, Marx Brothers, Monty python, and Monty Python-related old British comedy shows. :)

By icy blue Jun 19th 2012

    Hmmm...How About CATS....i love Cats

By Banjo Boy Jun 20th 2012

I like cats. I don't have one, but I catsit all the time. And I love Garfield! Not the president (that's an American joke). The public bus system where I live is called CATS. I think i stands for "Charlotte Area Transportation System". That's an interesting topic: do you know of any clever acronyms like that one?

By icy blue Jun 20th 2012

I like Garfield Too...i watch The Garfield Show daily its awesome

By Banjo Boy Jun 21st 2012

Yeah, I've never really watched the show much. Anyway, another acronym I know of was in the Beverly Hillbillies. Here's FOOEY: Friends Of Oppressed Educational Youth.

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 21st 2012

WEll, I know  there's " WWJD" What would Jesus do" Then WHO " World health orginazation"....I don't know that many acronyms really Oh, I have cats too. Here's a picture of my younger cat Gracie..

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 21st 2012

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 21st 2012

( I'm sorry, I don't mean to clutter up your blog with pictures, I was just showing my cats, as that was one of the subjects.) .

By Banjo Boy Jun 22nd 2012

I don't mind a few pics here and there. Anybody got a good book or series to suggest? I'm always looking for more to read!

By icy blue Jun 22nd 2012

By Banjo Boy Jun 23rd 2012

OK, everyone. How about you put linkson here for the best and worst YouTube videos you've ever seen. Don't do one that's hours long, and follow the house rules. Here's mine!
    best

    worst
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO10s_HK6d0

By Banjo Boy Jun 25th 2012

Come on! No one watches YouTube! There's got to be someone!

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 25th 2012

I watch things on you tube, but I'm always looking up stuff that I'll probably like. I haven't come across anything awful. ( although I've seen links when I first go to the main page that look crummy, I don't click on them though.)

By icy blue Jun 25th 2012

i watch Game walkthroughs,Trailers of games and other stuff

By Banjo Boy Jun 25th 2012

Haven't you seen anything that makes you go "Are you serious? That's the most stupid thing I've ever seen."? Like this, for example...
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NGMO6jDyOs

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 25th 2012

Hehe! Oh my goodness! Is that real?  I thought "Cars "was stretching it!
Ok. I think I've got a " worst" youtube clip. I don't know if this movie will be good. I kinda like the other two, but the first time I saw the trailer I was like, " really?"
    http://youtu.be/mVEinXUrEp0
Here's one of my favorites though. It's a neat /funny little video by comedy group " The Goodies", playing with the echos in the mountains. ( I know, some people might consider this should have been my " worst" video, but, like I say, I'm an incurable  comedy geek. ;) )

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 25th 2012

Here's another one of my favorites it's a song parody by this Christian comedian " Tim Hawkins"; it's called " Thank God for the Dollar store". Have you ever heard of Tim Hawkins? He's really funny and musically talented as well. :)

I have a Tiger that I don't keep at my house, I still own it.

By Banjo Boy Jun 26th 2012

Madagascar 3 looks like a pretty dumb movie to me, and I never saw the 2nd one. As for the echo, that was really good, actually, especially the part where he turns the echo off! And Time Hawkins, well, my friend's obsessed with his music. He's pretty funny, but sometimes I think he can be a little wierd. Was that a parody of "Thank God I'm A Country Boy"? Timmyfan13: You seriously own a real tiger?!? Awesome!

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 26th 2012

Oh, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that was funny/neat sounding. :) And yeah, that was " Thank God I'm a country boy." I like Tim Hawkins, beacause he reminds me of another singer/comedian; Mark Lowry. Have you heard of him?

By Banjo Boy Jun 27th 2012

Yes, I have, but I'm not as familiar with his work.
So, everyone, what movies are coming out that you look forward to seeing? Here's one of mine.

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 27th 2012

That looks cool. This is the movie I want to see; " The Hobbit". It's the prequel to the whole " Lord of the Rings" triliogy. Personally, as far as the books go, I like " The Hobbit " much better than the three " Lord of the rings" books, althoiugh they all are connected. Here's the link. :)

I'm always looking for something good to read, so tell me: what is your favorite book(s) or series?

    By LoveShaun19 Jun 29th 2012

I think I already told you this somewhere else, but my favorite series are any of Agatha Christie's mystery stories, and any of the orgional Sherlock Holmes stories.

By icy blue Jun 29th 2012

i like Sherlock holmes too....i loved the book Sherlock Holmes and the last case...lt was awesome

By Banjo Boy Jun 29th 2012

I had someone else trying to get me to read it the other day. Does it have any guns or car chases in it, or does Sherlock just explain everything as the climax?
