    question for the ukranian and russian speaker! Are the two languages similar? is it like a dialect thing or totally different? can a ukranian understand russian or the other way round?

    Russian and ukranian are very similar languages. If you know one of them - you could easily understand the other one.

    i learned japanese for a year, chinese mandarin for 2 years and french for 3 years.i'm not good thou, i tend to forget a lot of things. even the one i just learned =/ i only remember the basic stuff.
