Hi I really need some help, I have a pet bird, its a rainbow lorikeet. At the end of last year my dad found it on our pool fence, it was raining so the bird was wet and cold. My dad got a towl and rapped the bird up and put it in a box. The bird was hurt it had a broken bottom beak (he doesnt have the bottom beak anymore it fell off) aswell he had a sore wing and a big scratch on his face. I think he got attacked because he was a baby bird. We kept him and now just the other day he tried to fly away and he squorks when you go near him and he bites me really hard! I dont know whats wrong I need advise and HELP!
    I am worried about him!:'(
Here is a picture of him, well its not actually him because I dont have a photo of him.

Oh and his name is bear, we called him that because of Bear Grills, because Bear Grills survives out in the wild and after my bird bear got attacked he survived so we thought why not call him bear!

    Maybe he ran wild...

    I love Bear Gyrlls!

Hmmm....I would take him to a vet, see whats wrong. Maybe he's traumatized, or he could have gone wild, as STSNA said.....because he could have originally been born in the wild. He could have rabies, or just went crazy...

Most animals do that in self defence, especially if they feel vulnerable, this is very normal. Over time if they get to trust you it should stop

    that makes sense...

See when I saw the title, I was going LOL.
We had a wild budgie and it turned out that something in the past had frightened him and was angry with everyone. I calmed it down by signing to it (must add in that my lungs were aching after!)

Well he was born in the wild because we found him in my backyard on the pool fence!
I looked on the internet to what was wrong and it said he could be defending his cage or he could be going through puberty????
I thought I could ask everyone on the shaun the sheep website to see if they think its something else, you know, so I could have other brains helping!
Thanks for the help so far though!!! :-)
