    Hi everyone,
Recently there has been a large amount of old thread-bumping going on- some of the threads were from 2007, making them pretty irrelevant, as the people that strted them may no longer even be on the forum!

If you continue to do this I will consider it to be spamming, and place people on moderation.

Remember- there's no harm in starting a new thread rather than bumping very old ones!

    By kldceltic Jul 22nd 2010

    put that as a sticky;)

By Shaun and the Ewe Jul 22nd 2010

Thank you for doing this Ellie! kld is right, it is in the rules I think, but it should be a sticky.

    By Jum Jul 22nd 2010

Ditto kld. Thanks Ellie! It gets really annoying when users bump up old threads.

Unless they're interesting ones. Can I bump up ones that were popular in the year they were made?

    By Lamb Chops 223 Jul 23rd 2010

And why has nobody been on Sheep talk for ages

    By ShaunGromit Jul 23rd 2010

    What's thread bumping?
    And what's a sticky?

    Sorry, I'm stupid!

    By wghtmf Jul 24th 2010

    Hello ShaunGromit,

Thread bumping is posting on a thread or editing a message on a thread. Thiss will bring the thread back to the first page.
A sticky is a thread that has a sun next to it. They do this for threads that they want people to read. At the time that people posted the messages about making this a sticky, this wasn't a sticky yet.

    By funkycheese7000 Jul 24th 2010

Sticky threads also cannot leave the first page of discussions, so that people can see them every time they go onto the board.

    By concon Jul 24th 2010

    Amen to this thread!

    By ShaunGromit Jul 24th 2010

    thanks

    Justice has spoken!:D

    By funkycheese7000 Jul 28th 2010

I reckon people should be put on moderation after they bump a certain number of old and irrelevant threads.

    By KayLax10 Jul 28th 2010

no moderated after every bumped thread is the way it should be

    By wghtmf Jul 29th 2010

What? But then ajmole would be on moderation for bumping her Harry Potter club. :(

    By Jum Jul 29th 2010

    :-(

By Shaun and the Ewe Jul 29th 2010

No, I think KayLax means from 2007.

    By KayLax10 Jul 29th 2010

    By wghtmf Aug 16th 2010

    By ajmole Aug 24th 2010

But WOPPY was being rude and posting hijacked links.

    By BananaShirley Aug 25th 2010

Um, ok this is turning into people talking about random stuff, so I would try to get back to the subject.;)

By Shaun and the Ewe Aug 25th 2010

It's not random, it is off-topic, but it is about Wooper's return, although he is gone now.
