   The same thing I've made this morning at the W&G site, now for STS! It's for all new users here, to learn more about the site or to tell their questions!

   1. Art Yard
   
   What is the "Art Yard"?
   It is a monthly competition where the users of this site can take part with self-drawn pitures, self-made modells or short films. There are prizes for the winners, which are announced at the end of each month. There also is a theme every month. For more information visit the Art Yard Thread
   
   I've drawn a STS related picture but don't know where to upload it!
   You have to go to the Art yard upload site. There you can upload a picture or give the link to a video you've made.
   
   I've uploaded a picture to the Art Yard but I can't see it in the Gallery!
   It takes some time until the picture can be seen by everyone in the Gallery. That is because the Aardman Staff has to aprove the picture before it can be seen. And that takes some time, normally one day, but if there is a weekend it won't be up until Monday!
   
   Where can I find the Art Yard
   You only have to click at "Win Stuff" and then at "Previous Entries". There you can find the Art Yard Gallery
   
   I've taken part in last months Art Yard competition and now I want to know if I've won something.
   The winners of the last month are announced at the beginning of the next month. There is made a special thread for that by KirstenW or katie in the News-Part of this site. Sometimes it takes some time until the winners are announced but have a look there, then you'll see it!
   
   I'm not living in GB but want to take part in the competition! Can I do that?
   It's equal where you're living, you can take part in every competition at this site!
   
   What do I have to mind when uploading a picture to the Art Yard?
   You have to mind for example the correct size or data type. For more information see this Thread
   
   Is there any possibility to see all the Art Yard winners at one place?
   Yes, there is! You find this Gallery here
   
   What does "Runner Up" mean?
   There is this competition every month. And if you take part there are some possibilities to make a prize:You are announced as winner or runner up. Runner up means in this case that you get a 2. place and the prize for this place. But that's also very good, you must make good work to become one of the 5 winners!
   
   How many persons can win a prize in each month's Art Yard?
   5 persons, 1 winner and 4 runners up!

   2. Problems with the site
   
   I've got some problems with a user at this site. Now I want to talk to someone of the Aardman Team of this site!
   There is a E-Mail address extra for such things:

   There you can write, if you're worried about something. For more information read this post
   You also have the option to report abuse by using the report button in the post you are worried about. It is the right button of the two/three button which are shwon in every post!
   
   I think there are some mistakes or bugs at this site. Where can I report them?

   I want to buy some STS toys, but not at Amazon. Is there any other chance to buy them?
   Yes, there is. you only have to go to the STS section in the Aardstore
   
   I want to recieve the STS newsletter. What do I have to do?
   You only have to go to the Newsletter Registration site and fill in everything. If you aren't registered at this site you first will have to do that here.
   
   
   Where do I find Wallpapers of STS?
   You only have to go to "Goodies" in the top of this site and then you find the Wallpapers. Now you only have to click at S, M, L or XL to download the Wallpaper in the size you want!
   
   Can you send STS E-Cards?
   Yes, you can! You find them at "Goodies" or here
   
   I heared that there are two series! Where can I find more about that?
   There is a special Forum for the second STS series. Have a look there

   Ive got such a red bar at all my posts! Why?
   Donb't worry, that happens to every new user here at this site. But after a few days it is gone, then all your posts will be without it!
   
   Can I only talk about Shaun or also about other themes?
   You can talk about whatever you want. But there is a special section for only-Shaun-Themes: Simply Shaun
   
   I heared that there are different Forums! How can I change between them?
   There is a page where all 4 Forums are listet.
   
   Which Forum is for what?
   Sheep Talk - Here you can talk about whatever you want, but please don't spam
   Simply Shaun - Here you can talk about Shaun and Shaun related themes. Of course also about Stop Motion etc.
   Latest News - There is something new about STS? The first place you'll find it out will be this forum
   Series 2 Production - Well, the title explains itself: A forum about the production of the second Series!
   
   I want to change the style of my text: to bold or italic and such things. How can I do that?
   There is a compilation how to make those things at the "Codes for your posts" Thread
   
   All the users have such pictures besides their names. I want that, too!
   Therefore you'll have to edit your profile. You have to choose the picture you want to be shown beside your username and then upload it.
   
   What are badges?
   Well, if you do some certain things like posting more than 10 posts in the Forum or commenting many pictures at the art Yard you get such a badges which says that you've done that so that every user can see what you've earned for things!
   If you think a badge is missing have a look at this Thread and suggest it there!
   
   Can I make users to become my friends?
   Yes, you have to invite them as your buddies. Therefore you click at their name so you get in their profile and then click at the arrow "add Buddy". Then the person only has to accept your invite and then you're buddies.

   8. Competitions
   
   I heared that there can be something won at the games. But I don't know which games and how to do it
   Well, there are many games you can play at this fantastic site. And time by time there is a completetly new game coming. To "celebrate" this there is a competition. For a certain time you can play the game and then suscribe your personal score to the Highscore list. At the end of this competition the 3 best players will be announced as the winners of the competition and they win for example Nintendo DS or other nice things.
   Of course you still can play the games when the competition is closed. But you can only win something at the competition time!
   
   There seems to be something called "Monthly Competition". What's that?
   It's a competiton where you have to answer one question about Shaun and the gang. There normally are three possibilities and you have to choose one of them. There can be won Shaun goodies, DVDs and other great Shaun things! You can find those competitions at "Win Stuff" or here
   
   Are there any other competitons?
   Yes, there is also the "Art Yard". For more information see the first point og this Q&A!

   What do I have to do there?
   On this fun platform game, you have to use Timmy, Shaun & Shirley's cooperation to get to the end, which is resembled by a signpost (the end is resembled my the barn on the last level).
   
   How many levels are there?
   You have to complete 15 levels, but you can play every level again and again!
   
   What was the original purpose of this game?
   This game was made as a competition, so the 3 people at the top of the scoreboard won a signed Shaun the Sheep sketch.

   What do I have to do there?
   You have to throw a welly as far as possible. There are some objects which can help you with that. For more information visit this thread.
   
   How many levels are there?
   There are no different levels but you can try it 3x per game until your score is submittet. Of course the best fo the three scores.
   
   What was the original purpose of this game
   Well, there wasn't a competition with this game, it's of course been made with one aim: to make fun =P

   3. Baldy Dash
   
   What do I have to do there?
   You drive around with the farmer's land rover. You control it by moving your mouse. The aim in every level is to collect all the farmer's wigs but not to hit a sheep or one of the other things that are standing around there. That you have to do as fast as possible.
   
   How many levels are there?
   There are 15 different levels but you play until your time is out, so it can happen you play everything twice or more....
   
   What was the original purpose of this game
   This game was a competition like Home Sheep Home, where the first three on the scoreboard recieved a prize, but with this game the prize was a Shaun goody bag, including a DS and the Shaun the Sheeo DS "Off his head" game for the first winner and all without the DS for the 2. and 3.

   4. Tractor Beams
   
   What do I have to do there?
   The goal of this game to push down all of the buttons and go to the next level. It's also to get a high score. To push down a button you have to sort the characters at the screen in this way you have to!
   
   How many levels are there?
   It's pretty much endless. It goes on until you fail a level. (Thanks to ajmole for writing this)

   What do I have to do there?
   In this game, a sheep goes into one of three barrels, then the barrels shuffle around. You have to keep your eye on the barrel the sheep is in and then click on the correct barrel that it is in. As you progress levels, the speed will increase, the number of barrels will increase and more than one sheep will go into different barrels.
   
   How many levels are there?
   Well, you can't say that; there are so many levels that I've never reached to finish all!
   
   What was the original purpose of this game
   This game was a competition like Home Sheep Home, where the first three on the scoreboard recieved a prize, but with this game the prize was a Shaun goody bag, including a DS and the original Shaun the Sheeo DS game.

   Oh, no, I don't think so! There are enought sticky threads, and there also is the Website Help Thread. I only thought I could make this Q&A thread so that new persons can find all important information about this site, STS and Aardman at one place and don't have to search so long. And that they can read the Q&As above before they tell their questions: Maybe their problems are solved without the need to ask for them
   
   EDIT: But it would be great, if the thread became sticky, because it took me over 3 hours in sum to collect al this information and to write it down in the right form

    A Smiley Guide? There are soo many! And for new users it isn't so much important to see which codes there are for the Smileys
    
    Those things above are the most important things to know about this site and to understand the basic structure of this site. As if you are new here the site may be a little bit unclear and filled with much information!
    Also there are given some worth knowing facts about Shaun and Aardman a real STS fan MUST know
    
    But if you think there's something missing in the list I'd be glad to add it

    There's some incorrect information in the 1st post. It says the same thing as Hide `n` Sheep for the original purpose of Baldy Dash, but the prize should be a Ds and the game Shaun the Sheep: Off His Head instead of the original game.
