may i please use one as a desktop background?
My father and I missed strictly no dancing - video recorder was playing up - the time to chance to watch it on I player came and went. Then I read on your forum that you were repeating it on chirstmas eve, on BBC 1 - We don't have the cbbc channel. We watched the TV with great expectations...
And the bbc, being evil as they normally are, showed a repeat from the 1st series! Now, as you can't trust the BBC, is there any other way I can catch a repeat of strictly no dancing?
Thanks for posting these images Gareth - Looking forward to seeing the finished episodes. ![]()

Sammy the lamb - keep checking the TV listings and BBC i player. The BBC are always repeating episodes.
Hope this helps. ![]()

Thank you Gareth, a Happy New Year to you, too! It seems that you're very busy! Good to hear that the new site will be up soon! Do you work on it, too?
@Shaun and Eve: Yes, these are pictures of one of the new episode! I don't know which or when it wil be shown at the BBC but it isn't a old episode o it only can be a new![]()
ha ha ha![]()
Hi. I'll get some more pics up soon (also waiting for my wideangle lomo pics to be processed which I've taken lots of set pictures with!) Shaun will be back with 20 new episodes sometime in March/April 2010 -details will be posted on this site as soon as we have transmission times confirmed. We have 3 weeks of shooting left and then a whole lot of post production to finish them off. The snow pics are from 3 new episodes. I have a sneaking suspicion that the BBC might hold back the 2 Christmassy episodes until NEXT CHRISTMAS. That's going to be painful for you, sorry!
@I love bitzer - I don't work on the site; we have a dedicated and rather splendid Online team of lovelies that design, build and generally take care of all the Aardman sites. They are very busy people!
cheers, G x
Thank you for the fast answer, Gareth!
Sorry, but I've got two other questions I didn't write in the other post:
- What are you working on at the time? W&G or STS? Do you know how long it will take till the new W&G film will be ready?
- In your profile there is that you have wrote one of the new episodes! Which one is it? Is it one of the snow episodes?
hey gareth thanks for replying. eek march! i cant wait that long lol, cant wait to see them!
Gareth,
When might we see season two on the tele in the U.S.and A.? Do you know when the U.S.and A. (Region 1) season two DVD's will be available for purchase? We haven't seen any new Shaun's for a while now, and the kids are getting burned out on the old one's... we've seen each episode at least 50 times. We can't wait any longer! Hurry! Please! ![]()
Hi I love Bitzer. I'm working on STS up until March and then...I don't know what I'm working on next!! Well, I have an idea but it's not definite yet. I wrote the episode "Snowed In" on the plane on the way back from not-winning-an-emmy in LA. (The Simpsons won instead of Creature Comforts USA) but at least it gave me a chance to get my writing hat on! ...oh and the Emmy party was AMAZING.
As for the new W&G film...there isn't one! There's a series with W&G - World of Inventions which will start shooting soon and is expected to be released late 2010 but I won't be working on that one.
Bitzer the Great - I'm sorry I don't have that information to hand but I will try and get it posted on the site soon.
Have a good weekend everyone
Gareth
Hi Gareth. It's very good to hear that there will be a series with W&G's (new?) inventions! Is it a little bit like STS every episode about 7-8 minutes and in every episode one new invention? If yes that would be fantastic because the inventions of Wallace are very good parts of all the films and I most like it how Gromit sometimes has to help Wallace to get all right! If not anyhow it's good to hear that there will be anything of Wallace & Gromit. I'm really looking forward to see this at the end of the year but I think there maybe will be some production photos before?! I wish you much success with your work on STS and maybe on W&G and a good rest-weekend!
Greetings, I love Bitzer
W&G - World of Inventions isnt about Wallace-made inventions- - heres the info which ive known for awhile now...
Animated characters Wallace and Gromit are to become presenters for the first time in a new BBC1 peaktime science and invention series next year.
Wallace and Gromit's World of Inventions will see the plasticine figures take a "lighthearted and humorous" look at "mind-boggling" inventions in an attempt to "inspire a whole new generation of innovative minds", according to the BBC.
The show will be made by Bristol-based independent producer Aardman, the company behind the pair's fims such as The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and Curse of the Were-rabbit.
Jay Hunt, the BBC1 controller, said at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival today: "I am thrilled that those masters of invention, Wallace and Gromit, will be bringing science alive for viewers on BBC1."
The series has been commissioned by Jo Ball, with Miles Bullough and Alison Kirkham executive producing.
The series, produced by Aardman for the BBC, will aim to inspire a whole new generation of innovative minds by showing them real, but “mind-boggling, machines and inventions from around the world” which have influenced his illustrious inventing career
In Wallace and Gromit's World of Inventions Wallace will take a lighthearted and humorous look at the real-life inventors, contraptions, gadgets and inventions, with the silent help of Gromit, his pet dog.
Thank you very much![]()
