    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

Yes,it is called Hogmanay in Scotland, New Years Eve in the rest of the UK. It is a very important holiday in Scotland and there are some strange customs associated with it, such as 'First Footing'. You might be interested in reading this.

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

What did you have for lunch? :) I just have 2 slices of bread with cheese and a white chocolate yoghurt.

    By Finlaybear Nov 6th 2009

I had fishcakes, they did not taste of much.

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

What are fishcakes? Is it baked by the oven?

    By Finlaybear Nov 6th 2009

Was yours a cheese sandwich or just the two slices of bread eaten seperately?

    By I love Bitzer Nov 6th 2009

I'm back of lunch, too! I had beans with potatoes and fish fingers!

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

2 slices of bread seperately.:) But we will make real sandwiches one day because we`ve got a sandwichmaker. That`s great!

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

Hello again I love Bitzer! That`s also something good! Now we are all ready with lunch.

    By Finlaybear Nov 6th 2009

A sandwich is two slices of bread put together with a filling in the middle, do you mean a toasted sandwich maker? I have one of those, they are a lot of trouble to clean I find.

    By I love Bitzer Nov 6th 2009

Yes nicesheep, but one question finlaybear:

    What are fishcakes?

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

Yes,finlaybear.I mean such one. With the cleaning it`s really bad, you`re right. We are going to buy a better one with easier cleaning.

    By I love Bitzer Nov 6th 2009

Yes, I had one, too, but then it broke and we've not bought a new one because it's very difficult and much complexity to clean!

    By Finlaybear Nov 6th 2009

Fishcakes are a mixture of fish and potato shaped into a circle and covered in golden breadcrumbs. Mine were bought from the supermarket.

    By I love Bitzer Nov 6th 2009

Oh, I said the same thing as you nicesheep....

    By I love Bitzer Nov 6th 2009

Ok...I've never tasted such a fishcake! Is it good?;)

    By nicesheep Nov 6th 2009

I`ve never heard about fishcakes.I thought it is something like cookies. It`s more like cake,aha.8)
