Hey Gareth I just read your section in the Skymag! Is that a christmas episode I spot with , and a turkey on the table?
It was a very interesting read and is already in my collection! Nice job on the series, I especially enjoyed Spring lamb. Keep up the good work!!

By GarethO Aardman Staff Nov 30th 2009

Hey Gromits little bro. Actually it's not a christmas episode - it's an episode called 'Operation Pidsley' where the turkey plays an interesting role in the plot! We are shooting 3 winter episodes, 2 of which are Christmas episodes but unfortunately they will not be ready for this Christmas! They involved us making all the sets snowy which we couldn't do before we finished shooting all the un-snowy episodes. We don't know yet whether the broadcasters might save that one until next Christmas so you might have a bit of a wait to see it! I'll upload some snowy pics soon though to whet your appetite.

To everyone else, thanks for all your great comments, they are really appreciated so keep them coming!

For those of you that have missed some episodes, they are available on the BBC iPlayer, and once the first 20 episodes have been played out (last one on the 18th December) they will be repeated on CBBC from the 19th December at 09:50. Also we have some sporadic repeats on BBC1 at around 10am between Christmas Eve and New Years Day!

This whole website will be updated in a couple of weeks time with new smileys, wallpapers, games and other exciting things so watch this space.

    Cheers, have a good week!

    Gareth

Thanks GarethO for that very helpfull information! The new episodes I saw were great! My compliment! I'm really looking forward to seeing a new episode every sunday! And I'm too really looking forward too seeing the new website with the new games and those things!

    I love Bitzer

By Gromits little bro Nov 30th 2009

Thanks Gareth I can't wait for the Christmas episodes. Honestly I'm not waiting till next christmas.
Did you see points of view on sunday? There was a rant about the new character design. They got the different versions of Bitzer mixed up!! An utter disgrace. Here's the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00p66v6/Points_of_View_2009_2010_Episode_8/
(sorry that there's a few seconds of the previous article, my mouse isnt very accurate.)

Hi GLB. Yes, we just watched it on iplayer! - I had no idea it was on. Oh well, all good publicity eh!?

We thought it was really funny that the BBC had got the pictures the wrong way round - "disgusted of Tumbridge Wells" is no doubt twice as disgusted now... Doh!

By Gromits little bro Nov 30th 2009

Ah well, they'll just have to have a complaint about themselves!
Poor Charlotte Haden. If they had gone to the effort to complain why didn't they just look up this site and find out?! That makes me disgusted!!

By csadler Aardman Staff Nov 30th 2009

I'm not sure why she complained to the BBC - I suppose a lot of people think the BBC make all the programmes themselves. If that were the case our license fee would be a LOT higher... Then she'd complain about that too!

    Hi Gareth/Chris

Glad the site is soon to be updated with the new character content, looking forward to that.

I would like to know if there are any plans to release any new Shaun the Sheep merchandise or in particular soft toys? I would love to purchase a new 'cuddly Bitzer' if possible. I've been looking online and in the usual shops but haven't seen anything. I am guessing there wasn't enough time from the series release to get stuff in the shops?

I hope that at some point you may be able to buy in shops the sheep golf club covers Bitzer removed from the clubs in Who's the Caddy, they would be ace!

I love all the new animals. It would be great if you did do a book all about the making of 'Shaun the Sheep'. I would certainly buy it. Will there be more episodes for series 2???

    Thanks
    FunkySheep345

P.S. I love the pics at the top showing 'Shaun the Sheep' being made!!!!!

    By Aardeej Jan 11th 2010

    FunkySheep345

Aardman are currently working on 20 more episodes.

I agree - I think a 'behind the scenes' book would be a great idea!

    By FunkySheep345 Jan 11th 2010

    Thanks Aardeej

I can't wait for them. Your profile pic is so sweet. I love Gromit.

Our whole family *loves* STS, but I must express my displeasure at the changes in the looks of The Farmer and Blitzer and the new opening sequence and song. It also seems like the animation is done with less frames / cheaper / quicker. Don't get me wrong, I will always love the show, but everything about it was perfect and didn't really need these unnecessary "tweaks".

    :-(

    By wghtmf Apr 22nd 2010

    The song's still the same.

    By KayLax10 Apr 22nd 2010

I think maybe what happens during the theme song...

    By wghtmf Apr 26th 2010

that's the opening sequence, which he mentioned seperately.
