   No pirate costume! You had better hurry up! what I tend to do if I don't have a costume is print one out on several pieces of paper and then tape it to myself.

    Yes, I steered away from the obvious wench style with my Jack Sparrow. Even today we have the stereotyping. Totally impractical, you would get your heels caught on the planks.

    Cutlasses can cause more pain but from a smaller distance. I like having space, but I might have one sword and one cutlass; the best of both worlds.
