Two questions:
Where do you put the props etc. when you're not filming? They don't look exactly portable or compactable. How much storage space can a studio have?
Do the modelling department regularly have to make new character models- drying out etc?
I know this makes three but:
How do you stop the figures from sticking together or to themselves when animating or from going out of shape? I constantly have this problem when I try to do stop-motion animation. Some sort of clear, non-glossy varnish/enamel?

Sorry about all these questions. What happened to morph?

Response to Legomatic "SHEEP ROVER": I'm not an Aardman animator (and I would like a to get a response from a professional, as I do stop-motion as well) but I suspect that the easiest way to do the grass effect is to either glue some grass powder (from model shops or places with Hornby products such as The Entertainer or Hamleys or Hobbycraft). Or, simpler, to get a piece of grass covering from somewhere similar to the above. This should be OK for smaller sets. Although I haven't tried it myself yet.

What happened to Morph? Well, Morph is an old Aardman character, so if there was a Aardman show called "The Life Of Morph" he would be in his 50's. The show that Morph appeared on, "Take Hart"'s presenter, Tony Hart died around a month ago. And that is why he isn't on TV so often. Morph was a brilliant Aardman character, but he hasn't gone yet.
You can still watch him on YouTube, in case you didn't know, Aardman have a YouTube channel called well, Aardman and they post old Morph video's on it, probably in memory of Tony Hart and "Take Hart" It's a very sad story, but everybody gets over it, sometime in their lives. I'm sorry, it's just I can't stop doing enormous posts about Tony Hart/Morph/Aardman. And yes, I go to "Hobbycraft" to get modelling clay and you have to admit that it is a decent shop. I would probably model the grass (though it would take ages) so it would look exactly as you want it to.

Hello all,
Well, there are quite a few questions building up already (Most of them from Christian it would seem!).
I'll try to tackle as many as I can in my next update.
GLB - That photo was taken during "A Matter of Loaf and Death", so it's not quite the method we use on "Shaun the Sheep". However, we are thinking of introducing something similar on some of the smaller sets where we are tight for space and are struggling to get more background "depth". Painted backgrounds do work surprisingly well, even in HD.
