I got all excited and then I saw that it was only 5 minutes long. That's not a full episode. Sigh.
I'm so excited ![]()
How will I know if the dvd will play in my dvd player? I would love to buy the dvds for my daughter but I hesitate. Has anyone else bought them overseas?
The DVDs for sale at this time will not play in American DVD players.
Katie,
do you know if shipping to the USA is expensive?

New Here! Both my hubby and I always loved watching Nick Park's creations!
We first saw Shaun the Sheep in the short film A Close Shave. Hilarious!!
Now our daughter loves to watch Shaun on Disney.
Will Shaun ever have his own movie??![]()
We can only dream!
it will not work in your dvd player if it is not the europeon format. however if it is not, you can change the format on your computer and watch it there.
dont do oversea shipping!! use ebay!!!!
but you can only change the format 4 times, and that includes cds!!
Hi Katie,
What do you recommend for people in the United States who didn't realise Shaun DVD's would not play on US DVD players. Are there new electronics for sale to make them usable. Thanks,
Silly Haun
For USA Shaun fans (such as myself):
I purchased the Shaun Box Set DVD through Amazon UK, and though pricey, the laughs are well worth it!
I also received an error when first trying to play the DVD on my home player. It played fine on my laptop. Then, I found a website with instructions on how to make DVD players "region-free" - this varies depending on make/model of DVD player (Mine is a Philips 5-disc.) After following the (relatively) simple instructions, the Shaun DVD played perfectly!! Brilliant!!
BTW, "Shaun the Sheep" is hysterically funny and yet another feather in the highly accomplished cap of Aardman. I hope those in the UK know how lucky they are to have first-view of all of Aardman's creations - this is genius in the making. I love it so much, that I'm buying another copy to send to my little nephew, who's also named Shaun.
Mattyhorn,
Thank you ever so much for the info. My kids and I are now watching "Shaun the Sheep". You are the brilliant one.
Thanks again,
Haun
