Isolation...

I think they are about to record a new album because they have lots of new songs...

"She came all the way from America".

Seven words best yelled at full volume at a few Aussies in the rain, cold and dark...

Ah, that's the life...

I love festivals!!

I have discovered the joy of the icons! (Robot discovery)

The not so enjoyable icons.....

CheeseandCrackers Posted: Jul 26th 2008

How have we got from crowded house, to glastonbury, to music festivals, and then all the way to icons.

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Jul 26th 2008

We are still talking about Crowded House.

It's a Crowdie thing.

CheeseandCrackers Posted: Jul 26th 2008

Haven't you said, It's a Crowdie thing before?

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Jul 26th 2008

Whatever, man.

Trees Posted: Jul 28th 2008

I too love "Crowded House" I know I'm showing my age BUT I also loved "Split Enz". The Finn brothers write really great songs & have excellent voices. WOO go Neil;)

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Jul 28th 2008

Hey Trees don't worry I only know them cos my dad is the ultimate Crowdie and has a recording of them at virtually EVERYWHERE. He has 2 Woodface t shirts and once saw them 4 TIMES in ONE WEEK. Honestly, and when he, me and Bro start talking Crowded House, Mum can follow the conversation for a bit, but then she's lost! She comes to the gigs but, really, we're on a different wavelength. I never saw them with Paul, as I was quite young when they split up, and doubt I would have liked being that far away from home and out till all hours so young, but hey, we've got the recording of Farewell, and I've seen them three times in the past year and a bit (twice in two weeks- I'm wearing the Cornbury wristband now, even though it comes off), so I think I'll cope. Just wish I'd seen Sister Madly...

Hey, Trees, did you name yourself after Tall Trees?

My dad and I reckon that if Don't Dream It's Over was on it, Woodface would be the Best Album of All Time.

What do you think?

(Any suggestions welcome.)

manu4eva Posted: Jul 28th 2008

still don't know em proberly 2 young

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Jul 28th 2008

They're back together but aren't having huge success in the charts cos all teenagers want to listen to is rubbish etc.

Some radio stations play the Big Hits (Don't Dream, Weather, It's Only, etc.)

By the way, T & C stands for Town & Country club.

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Jul 31st 2008

A lot of their lyrics are about the weather.

But I guess that living in New Zealand, the weather influences you and everything you do.

That is what Four Seasons in One Day is about.

Neil Finn was asked about that in an interview and he said "If you live in Melbourne for a year, Four Seasons starts to make sense."

Which is a good answer.

And probably true, actually.

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Sep 2nd 2008

I'm waffling.

Is that how you spell it?

Waffling? Waffleing? Falafel?

WoollyJumper101 Posted: Sep 2nd 2008

Their debut album came out 22 years ago.
